WOMEN’S TANGO TECHNIQUE
ABOUT THIS COURSE
The Women’s Technique classes with Juliana are complementary trainings for women to help them prepare their body to dance tango. These classes will not only improve your technique, but will also introduce musicality exercises and ornaments to add to your dance. During the classes Juliana will repeat the exercises so that you can practice with her while you take the class.

LEVEL: ALL LEVELS
This class covers: posture for dancing in close embrace, foot alignment and strength, walking backwards, “ochos” backwards, side steps, “giro” (back, side, front), basic forward ornament.
This class covers: foot alignment in the three directions, exercises to improve walking backward, “ochos” in a line (for an open embrace), “giro” (dissociation of upper body and forward-pivot-side), musicality (time and double time), basic front and back ornaments in combination with steps.
This class covers: foot alignment in the three directions with bending, walking forward, “ochos” forward, “giro” (dissociation of upper body and side-pivot-back). The whole sequence of the giro on the music. Ornament to do in a “parada”.
This class covers: technique of the side step, foot alignment for “lapiz” and side steps in combination with “lapiz”. Technique of the change of weight, rhythmical pattern with ornament, embellishments for “giro” and “boleo” front.
This class covers: “Lápiz”, technique of the rebound with ornament, technique of the giro in close embrace, more technical details about the “boleo” front.
